<p><span style="color: #3f2c6d;"><strong>You may join us at the Library on Friday Feb. 17 at noon to ID birds outside the Library/City Hall grounds. </strong></span> We&#8217;ll provide field guide books, bring your binoculars and cameras if you have them, bring your lunch.  We will only cancel if it&#8217;s raining hard, or snowing hard (can you remember what snow looks like?)</p>
<p><span style="color: #5a1b88;"><strong>We will have the checklist for you to tally your sightings of birds in the area</strong></span>, you can return the forms to Lisa and she will submit your counts for you.<strong>   Your counts can help answer questions</strong>:  <img class="alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-4483" title="cardinal" src="http://ottawa.mykansaslibrary.org/wp-content/uploads/cardinal-150x150.jpg" alt="" width="96" height="96" /></p>

<li>How will this winter&#8217;s weather influence bird populations?</li>
</ul>

<li>How will the timing of birds’ migrations compare with past years?</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>How are bird diseases, such as West Nile virus, affecting birds in different regions?</li>
</ul>
<ul>

We will make black duct tape roses, Break-Up VooDoo Dolls, and play some Un-Valentine games.
